Work Begins

Once approved, our team gets started. Depending on your project, we’ll complete repairs right at your home or building, or carefully remove select windows for restoration at our Portland or Seattle shop. Either way, we keep your property secure, clean, and weather-tight throughout the process.

Completion &
Fine-Tuning

When the work is finished, we reinstall and adjust each window for a perfect fit and smooth operation. Hardware is cleaned, tuned, or replaced with matching parts to ensure your home or building’s windows look beautiful and function reliably for years to come.

Chosen Wood Windows was founded in 1998 in Portland, Oregon, by Vern Forrest. Since those early days, we’ve expanded our business to serve the entire Pacific Northwest, including Oregon, Washington, and other areas, both rural and urban.

In addition to our local projects, we have had the opportunity to take on projects from across the country as well as commercial restoration projects for some of our nation’s landmarks throughout the country.

    What is the Difference Between Leaded Glass and Stained Glass?

    Leaded glass refers to any window made up of multiple pieces of glass that is joined together with lead cames (the thin metal strips). Stained glass is a type of leaded glass that includes colored or painted pieces. Stained glass often forms patterns or motifs. To put it simply, all stained glass is leaded, but not all leaded glass is stained.
